New for 2009! We've re-designed our Income Tax Return Form & Worksheet to allow you to enter your data directly into the form on your computer. The form will handle all of the calculations and place the results in the appropriate boxes where necessary. All you have to do is print out a copy for your records and send us a signed and printed copy for your official filing. (Adobe Acrobat Reader is required)

• Who must file?
  • All Ravenna residents, sixteen (16) years of age and older, regardless of whether or not city income tax has been fully withheld by their employer(s).
  • Residents and non-residents who own rental property in Ravenna must file on any profit and/or loss from their rentals.
  • Residents and non-residents who are self-employed and working in Ravenna must file on any profit and/or loss from their business.
• What if I just moved to Ravenna, or have never filed a tax return in Ravenna?
  • New filers must complete a City of Ravenna, Individual Tax Questionnaire. This form explains your obligations under Ravenna's tax regulations and it allows our office to register you in our system so that you may file returns as required by law.
• Who is exempt?
  • Individuals under 16 years of age for the entire year.
  • Individuals who are retired and receiving only pension, Social Security, interest, or dividend income.
• Due date:
  • Personal tax filings must be postmarked no later than April 15th of each year.

• Who must file?
  • All business entities located in the City of Ravenna, or those located outside the City of Ravenna and doing business in Ravenna, are required to withhold and remit employee income tax.
  • The Employer's Quarterly Report (EQR) serves as the remittance document that illustrates the calculation of Ravenna City taxes withheld and payable for a 3 month period.
  • Businesses with employee withholding greater than $200 per month, or $600 per quarter are required to file and remit on a monthly basis.
  • Business entities of all reporting types, located in Ravenna, or those located outside of the City and doing business in Ravenna, are required to file an annual return on profit or loss.
• Due date:
  • Those entities operating on a CALENDAR year must file by April 15th of the following year.
  • Those entities operating on a FISCAL year must file no later than 105 days after the last day of their fiscal year.
